The name De Vallenger Design derives from Caroline’s maternal grandfathers side. A slight change to a French family surname ‘de Vallenger’.
Pronounced de-Val-in-Jah, Caroline’s late grandfather suggested the name to her at a young age as she was certain that although only 10 years of age she wanted to be a fashion designer. In later years with her dream becoming a reality, and a need for a business to form due to her demand of freelance work, her grandmother came up with the secondary word ‘design’.
Caroline designed the logo therefore resulted in changing the initial lowercase ‘d’ to a capital as she preferred the aesthetic look of the repetition of the capital ‘D’. It stands today as De Vallenger Design.
